Announcement About Afghan And Iraqi Nationals' Account Opening

The new conditions about Afghan and Iraqi nationals' account opening in Iranian banks were
declared.
According to the report released by Saman Bank PR division, based upon the recent circular by
Central Bank of Iran it has been mandatory for above mentioned nationals to have their Amayesh Card
4 for their banking affairs.
It should be noted that formerly Amayesh Cards 3 were valid for these nationals to open their
account as well.
According to this report, Blue Cards, Amayesh Cards 1, 2 and 3 are no longer valid.
Based upon this circular, in addition to Amayesh Cards 3, foreign nationals' ID cards
representing validity date for issuing account are accepted. Furthermore, the foreign nationals
must hold their residence permit papers issued either by Police of Iran or Afghanistan/ Iraq
government while issuing their accounts.
